Mark 3
In the synagogue was a man with a broken hand. Jesus healed his hand even though it was the Sabbath. The Pharisees did not like this, so they went and plotted with the Herodians about how they would destroy Him. They wanted Jesus dead because they didn't believe that He was the Son of God. They didn't think that He was obeying God's law. They had so much power and wanted to destroy Jesus. When Jesus found this out, He took His disciples to the sea and did not want to be known. He went up to the mountain top and prayed to God about which apostles He should appoint. After praying, He called upon twelve to send them out to preach and heal. Jesus then explains how if a kingdom is divided against itself, then that house cannot stand. If Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end. He says that all sins of man will be forgiven, but except for the blasphemies against the Holy Spirit, for those people will never have forgiveness and will have eternal condemnation because of their unclean spirit. Jesus then says that whoever does the will of God is His brother, His sister, and His mother.
